Last June , Diane and I thought it would be cool to have a tiki bar in the backyard, and I found one at a surprisingly reasonable price. I figured it would make a nice "starter" tiki bar. Just one catch, and there it was written on the side of the box..."some assembly required".

Anyone who has ever tried to put something together, like a toy for their kids, knows what that means. As a matter of fact anyone who has tried to even open a box that contains a kids toy knows nothing is easy in this area. I once tried to get a Barbie doll out of the box for my niece, Sara. They had it tied down like Barbie was going to try to escape or something.

Anyway, getting back to the tiki bar. I placed all those parts out in size order, figuring it would make following the directions easier. Five hours in the hot sun later, I ripped those directions to tiny little pieces and walked to the side of the house to dig through the recycling to find the picture on the front of the big box and assembled it from that. Seven hours after I started, I was done.

So recently, when we ordered a treadmill, and offered assembly with the delivery, I took it. It was more expensive than I thought it would be, but I got it anyway. Best money I've spent in months. They were done in ten minutes. It would have taken me 4 hours...if I was lucky.
