A former contestant of Tyra Banks' modeling competition/reality show 'America's Next Top Model' is in a very different place these days...struggling with an addiction to methamphetamine.

In 2007, Jael Strauss appeared on Cycle 8 of the show, finishing in 6th place.

Five years later, she'll be appearing on 'Dr. Phil' as her family stages an intervention.

In the trailer for the show, which airs to today, Jael, now blond and with her face showing the signs of meth addiction, is seen being walked out to the set.

She then turns and runs off set, settling outside next to a garbage dumpster, followed by Dr. Phil, who tries to talk her back inside.

I remember that season of 'ANTM,' and I'm not really too surprised that this is the contestant now battling addiction. During her time on the show, Jael's friend died of an overdose.

She always seemed a little...'unstable.'

Hopefully she'll get the help she needs and get her life back on the right track.

The full episode of the show airs today.

Do you think appearing on a reality show is dangerous?
