Free Safety App!

Sure you have your share of fun apps to play around with on your smartphone. But now there's an app that actually provides safety instead of just entertainment.

Circle of Six is a new app that lets you select six people who you can contact quickly, without all the phone-fumbling, if you're in an emergency situation.

It even comes with pre-set messages like, "Come and get me; I need help going home safely." (That one even comes equipped with GPS or Google maps.)

There's also an option to call 911 or domestic abuse or sexual assault hotlines.

And, on the lighter side, you can even use Circle of Six to help you out on a bad date, with a pre-set message that says, "Call and pretend you need me; I need an interruption."

You just never know when you might really need your friends...quickly.
