Halloween seems to be forced down our throats a little early, but one thing that I can say is that one positive about all the early creep, is job opportunities. Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson is holding Zombie Auditions for its' annual Fright Fest this Friday, August 18th.

I had the pleasure of working as a Ghoul back in 2013 and I have to say it was a great experience! That year I was in the Asylum and I got to work with some amazing actors. My character was named Nikita Folly and she lived in the room with the padded walls. Quite fitting for me. She wore a straight jacket that she busted out of and for kicks would slam herself into the walls. Many nights myself and others really got into character coming home with multiple bruises and sore bodies. Now that is not a requirement of the job, that was a personal bonus we added to our ghouling. I have to say, the make up they applied on me was impeccable! There were a few times I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror cause I creeped myself out!

Now, what does it take to score a role as a ghoul or zombie? Well, first you need personality. Do not be afraid to let your weird out. Be energetic and show the staff your best scares! Most of all HAVE FUN!!!

Fright Fest runs from September 15th through October 31st, 2017
