Between everyday life and figuring out how to pay for an upcoming wedding, I'm all for getting max value out of everything possible, i.e., 'If it's for free, it's for me!'

I know I'm not the only one, which is why I thought this offer was pretty sweet.

Dunkin Donuts is giving away free 24 oz. travel mugs (while supplies last) with the purchase of any medium or larger beverage from now through April 30th.

I don't know about you, but I'm buying the coffee either way, so I might as well score the free gift!

The only catch? The only way to get the coupon for the free mug is by downloading the free Dunkin Donuts app for your phone or tablet. (I have the app, it's really user friendly, you can use it to pay for your order, find the nearest Dunkin, AND you can earn free drinks and rewards -- like the free mug -- through the DD Perks program.)

You'll find the coupon under the Perks tab, just keep in mind, once you hit the 'redeem' button, you only have 10 minutes to use the coupon before it self-destructs expires. It's very James Bond-y.

As for the mug, it's plastic (BPA-free!), so it may not keep drinks as hot (or cold) as a double-walled metal mug, but it'll get the job done if you're trying to step up your recycling game!

Bonus: You can refill it -- it holds a medium iced coffee or XL hot coffee -- for just $1.49 through April 30th. This offer is only valid at participating locations, and only within parts of the NYC metro area, like here at the Jersey Shore.

The awesome people at our local Dunkin also dropped off samples of the new Boston Kremecroissant donut, so of course I had to try it!

I'm not the biggest Boston Kreme donut fan, but I do like the cronut-copy croissant donut at Dunkin. It's perfect for when you want a sweet treat that's a little flakier than a regular glazed donut.

The Boston Kreme version seemed a little denser than the original croissant donut, but I think BK donut fans will be very happy with it. It has a good amount of bavarian cream filling, with a light chocolate drizzle on top. (And is currently only available in Monmouth and Ocean Counties!)

I'd love to see a chocolate or apple-filled croissant donut, or maybe a cinnamon-sugar version. I'd also be willing to try them all...you know, for quality control purposes.

For real though, download the DD app and go get your free travel mug!
