Friday, it’s free movie night at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park.  Celebrate Halloween with a 30th Anniversary screening of the classic horror-comedy, "The Lost Boys".

Need a pumpkin?? The Toms River Community Pumpkin Patch will be located at 714 Main Street through October 31st. All profits from this Pumpkin Patch will go to the Toms River Field of Dreams [www.tomsriverfieldofdreams.com] to help build an athletic complex for those with disabilities.

Ghost Walk of Historic Matawan. Take a walk back in time, revisiting the chilling stories about some of the businesses and private homes along Main Street. In Matawan.  The evening will begin with a short presentation at Burrowes Mansion, then continue with a walk along Main Street with more stories about the ghosts haunting the town… and a stop inside Bedel Funeral Home, Friday and Saturday, October 27th and 28th.

All Ghouls Food Trucks with a splash of Chowder.  Laurita Winery hosts an off site event in Pt Pleasant This event is being held at the Rt 35S and Arnold Ave. Parking Lot
in downtown Point Pleasant Beach. Oct 28th and 29th (Saturday 11am – 9 pm, Sunday 11am -7 pm).  Live bands, tasting tent, wine bar, kids activities, tasty eats and more.  Admission includes a souvenir Laurita Wine glass and entrance to the event featuring:

Saturday it’s the Yappy Hour Annual Halloween Costume Party and Parade at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park benefitting Wag On Inn Rescue...Deck opens at Noon...Parade at 3 pm...Trophies awarded in various categories!

Looking for a scare… check out the Hazlet House of Horrors – 6 rooms with tricks and treats. Hosted by Hazlet Recreation from October 27 – 29th at the Cullen Center from 7-10 PM. 7 – 8 pm is “Horror Lite” suggested for ages 9 and up. Anyone coming after 8 should prepare to be scared. This is a free event, but they do ask that each individual to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit Hazlet Townships Annual Thanksgiving Dinner project as well as other local food pantries.

Saturday Laser Fright Light at the Robert J Novins Planetarium at Ocean County College. Looking for a unique way to send chills up your spine? Your favorite Halloween hits including Dead Man's Party, Monster Mash, Men in Black and Michael Jackson's Thriller all set to haunting lasers!

How about a musical comedy for your Halloween fun. Sunday Night at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank… Evil Dead The Musical... the only musical in the world with a splatter zone. This hilarious live stage show takes all the elements of the cult classic horror films, Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness then combines them to make one of the craziest theatrical experiences of all time. 

Friday and Saturday the Historic Village at Allaire hosts Haunted Allaire In the dark of the night, the ghosts, ghouls, and monsters fill the haunted village. From woods to historic homes, the Historic Village at Allaire takes on a dark twist for the Halloween season. Admission includes: Haunted Hayride, Mr. Allaire’s Home, and the Haunted Village itself! Enter if you dare!

Friday, Saturday and Sunday get Scared in NJ at the PNC Bank Arts Center the Legend of the Jersey Devil in a Multi-attraction event featuring the Pine barren maze, Mother Leed’s Haunted Cottage and Blood Drums Live.

Brookdale Haunted Theatre, Friday, Saturday and Sunday… Are you brave enough to take on the demented imaginations of our student’s minds? Designed, built and run by past and present students. This tormented trip through body parts, evil creatures and more will redefine “stage fright"...FOREVER!!!  Kid Friendly tours Saturday and Sunday from 2 – 4 pm.
