The track of Hurricane Edouard will keep it thousands of miles from the Jersey Shore, but the storm will still impact the area with rough surf.

We are expected to feel the impact of the storm along our coast by mid week, according to accuweather.com, "with the danger of strong and frequent rip currents from Cape Cod to northeastern Florida." The Jersey Shore may begin to experience the rough surf as early as tomorrow.

Experts say the rough surf may stick around into the weekend, and remind you that with many lifeguards off duty now, swimmers should exercise extra caution. For details on the rest of the weather, check out Alan Kasper's forecast.
