I Love My New Window Fashions!

This is a photo of my new Hunter Douglas window fashions from Belmar Window Shop. You wouldn't believe the difference between these and what I USED TO have on my windows! My home has been transformed!

I used to have the SADDEST blinds ever (scroll down to see the 'before' pic). They didn't cover my windows properly for privacy, they were so light that the sun would beat down on us even with them fully closed, and they were so flimsy that they would bend and break and the strings would get all tangled and not work properly.

I was miserable with these blinds, but never got around to figuring out what I would really want to do cover my windows.

Then I talked to the wonderful people at Belmar Window Shop and realized I had some amazing options that could transform my home! And, without me having any fashion sense or vision of my own as to what might look really good, I was told I had nothing to worry about because they would take care of everything!

So Design Consultant (and Showroom Manager) Nicole came to my house, checked out our home and lifestyle, asked just the right questions, showing me samples of what she thought would work...and boy was she right! The Hunter Douglas blinds are gorgeous! To match my ceiling and cabinets, they are a deep, rich wood; big, strong slats that I love. Makes my house feel cozy and look so much more upscale...especially with the continuity of having them in every room!

Once Mike, the Installer for Belmar Window Shop, came to put up the new Hunter Douglas window treatments, my whole home took on a warm, cozy look -- a look I had previously been trying to achieve with blankets and pillows. Even my teenage boys, who would normally not be impressed by much, were so amazing by the change that they couldn't stop saying 'thank you'!!!

It is incredible how just updating your shades and switching bad blinds or curtains for gorgeous window fashions can change everything for the better the moment you (or your guests) walk into your home.

I can now adjust my lighting properly without fighting with unruly blinds, I am psyched about having company and entertaining, I no longer have to worry about anyone being able to see inside because my windows are now totally covered when I want them to be, and they look amazing -- perfectly matching the wood on my ceiling and cabinets.
