It’s A Girl For Beyonce

Beyonce and Jay-Z are proud parents of  a daughter delivered via C-section in New York according to E! News.

Jay-Z is telling friends the girl's name is Blue Ivy Carter although that has not been confirmed by reps for the couple.

The New York Daily News reports that the baby was delivered in a private wing of Lennox Hill Hospital on Friday night. On Saturday, the wing took on a party atmosphere with visitors bringing takeout and wine to the area while doctors & nurses were barred from the area. Tape was placed over security cameras to give them privacy and employees were forced to turn in their cell phones when they reported for work.

Congratulatory tweets have been flying across the internet. According to E!, Friend and music mogul Russell Simmons was among the first to celebrate the arrival, tweeting the new parents: "congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z."

Rihanna gave baby Blue a warm welcome, tweeting: "Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih."
