EAST RUTHERFORD — Records set by Bruce Springsteen set during his MetLife Stadium dates should not be written in ink.

In his second of three concerts at MetLife Stadium, Springsteen played 33 songs for exactly four hours, according to Billboard's Michele Amabile. That broke the record he set Tuesday night for his longest U.S. show in history, when he opened the River tour performance with a 3 hour, 52 minute performance.

Springsteen also offered his first comment on the presidential campaign, calling it "the ugliest I've ever seen" before playing "Youngstown," according to Amabile. "My City In Ruins" was dedicated to the victims of the earthquake in Italy and he also teased the audience with a video showing him flipping through his upcoming book "Born to Run,"

Springsteen's mom, Adele, was in the crowd, as was Gov. Chris Christie.

As the night wound down, while Springsteen played "Jersey Girl," he asked "What's going on out there?" — as he noticed a marriage proposal.

The new bride-to-be showed her ring on the big screen. "There's love in the room tonight," a beaming Springsteen said as he brought the couple on stage.

The groom-to-be said he and fiancee Jill have been together for eight years and have gone to many Springsteen shows together.

"This by far was the best," the man said.

Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine played with the E Street Band for 3 songs while a three-year-old joined Springsteen for "Waitin' On A Sunny Day."
