Jersey Shore Events To Keep You Busy This Snowy Weekend

Are you a fan of the film Napoleon Dynamite?  Thursday you can catch Napoleon Dynamite Live! at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank.  Catch a screening of the film followed by a live Q and A session with the actors that played Napoleon, Pedro and Uncle Rico.  7:30 PM

Thursday, January 10^th, it’s Girls Night Out at Laurita Winery in New Egypt with music, food, wine in a cozy setting for an evening of fun and relaxation.  

Friday the Ocean County Mall National Blood Month Blood Drive happens from 2 to 8 PM.  Save a life, donate blood.  Look for the Bloodmobile near the main entrance of the Ocean County Mall.  

The Astronomy Club at Robert J. Novins Planetarium meets Friday from 7 to 10 PM with a telescope workshop.

Saturday, join Union Beach Recreation and Autism New Jersey and take the plunge, a polar bear plunge that is, to benefit Autism.  The First Annual Union Beach Polar Bear Plunge happens this Saturday on the beach front in Union Beach, check in at 10 AM, the plunge at 1 PM and don’t forget the after party.  

Need a laugh?? Comedian Jim Gaffigan takes the Quality Time Tour to the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank with multiple shows on Friday and Saturday.

Saturday morning at Jenkinson’s Aquarium in Pt. Pleasant it’s Kids Yoga with a Mermaid.  Come for relaxing yoga and then enjoy the aquarium for the day.  Kids should bring a water bottle and a mat or towel.  9 to 10 AM.

Summertime not that far away and the Monmouth County Park Systems is looking for lifeguards, camp counselors, park and golf course maintenance staff, and other seasonal employees.  Learn more about these and other seasonal job opportunities at the Park System’s Seasonal Job Fair happens Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center in Tinton Falls.

Saturday, Frost and Flames happens at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton Township where you can get up close and watch master carvers turn huge blocks of ice into art using power saws, chisels, and grit throughout the park.  Plus heated metal demonstrations, how to build a camp fire, sun tricks and roaming flame dancers.  11 AM – 4 PM

Friday, Saturday and Sunday it’s the Atlantic City International Motorcycle Show at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City with all kinds of motorcycles, vintage machines, vendors from all over the country, prizes, ice bikes, exhibits and more.
