The Jersey Shore is getting ready for another wintry day, and road crews have gotten an early start.

The changeover from rain to snow began in the early morning hours and many crews were reportedly already treating the roads ahead of the snow. As I drove into work this morning at 4:15am, I saw crews on Route 70 in Brick as well as Brick Blvd., and towns all over the Shore report this morning that they are ready to go.

After the monster task of clean up when the last storm dumped over a foot of snow on the Shore, this is not quite the same, with Dan Zarrow's forecast calling for anywhere from 2 to 4 inches before it ends in the middle of the day, but slippery conditions are dangerous no matter what the snow totals.

So thanks to local crews for getting a head start on today's weather and please be careful driving. Unfortunately the worst of the conditions are expected during this  morning's rush.
