Jon Bon Jovi has written a letter to Buffalo Bills fans explaining why he wants to own the team.

The letter was published in a Buffalo newspaper, The Buffalo News, yesterday. In the letter, Bon Jovi says he wants "“to make the Bills successful in Buffalo,” according to a report at nydailynews.com.

The letter is the first time Bon Jovi has publically spoken about his desires for the team if his group were to buy the Bills, although his partners were not mentioned in the letter. Critics of the move fear the group would move the team out of Buffalo, and were quick to point out that Bon Jovi doesn't say in the letter that he and the group won't do that.

The Bills and New York Giants actually played against each other last night as each team kicked off their preseason schedule with the Hall of Fame Game. The Giants beat the Bon Jovi's....uh....the Bills 17-13.
