Local Woman Needs Help Finding Possibly Stolen Dog
Danielle DiGiovanni has spent the last three weeks desperately searching for her ‘baby,’ a nearly two-year old puppy named Jeter, and now she’s asking for your help.
DiGiovanni, 29, of Toms River says, ‘[Jeter] got out of the backyard, and about 3 houses down was picked up by a mature couple in a white SUV … The neighborhood kids said [the couple] told them they have dogs like him and will … keep him until he is claimed.’
Regardless of whether he ran away, someone really did take him, or if that couple meant well in taking the dog, his rightful owner is now looking for him.
Jeter is a white pitbull with blue eyes and a brown spot on his back. He was last seen on July 28th at the corner of South St. and Holly Village Lane in Toms River.
DiGiovanni says, ‘He’s sweet, friendly, and I know he is easy to fall in love with but [he's] my baby. I just want him home.’
Jeter is microchipped, but calls to the chip company, local vets, shelters, and groomers have been unsuccessful. Police are investigating the incident, but need more information.
A $2500 reward is being offered for Jeter’s safe return, no questions asked. Anyone with information on who might have taken the dog, or where he might be now can call or text Danielle DiGiovanni at (732) 642-3987.
Please share this story, and let’s get Jeter home!
