Man Offers $500 On Craigslist For Pre-Super Bowl Football Lessons

It amazes me the lengths a man will go to impress a woman. It also amazes me the lies a man will tell to his woman. For one man in Brooklyn, he’s willing to shell out big bucks to to do both.

The poor sap took to Craigslist, offering $500 to anyone who would teach him about football, preferably from someone who was once a college or professional football quarterback. The reason? The poster and his girlfriend were supposedly invited to a Super Bowl party at her ex-boyfriend’s house. The ex happened to play football in college, and upon first meeting this guy, perhaps in a fit of nerves, or maybe just blatant stupidity, the poster claimed that he once played college football as well.

He apparently knows nothing about football, and doesn’t want to appear stupid in front of his girlfriend (though it seems he’s fine with appearing stupid to the rest of us).

He’s offering a bonus for anyone willing to text him useful comments during the game as well.

The ad has since been pulled from Craigslist, so I can only hope the whole thing is just a hoax.

Do you think this is real? If so, what advice would you give this guy? Tell us in the comment section below!
