When Titanic first came out, I immediately questioned why, if Rose loved Jack so much, she couldn't just move over a little and let Jack live instead of allowing him to slip to the bottom of the ocean. I brought up the controversy again when they recently released Titanic 3D, and if you think I'm alone in this theory you're wrong. Titanic director James Cameron now wants to field the question!

According to hollywoodreporter.com, Cameron says Rose couldn't have saved Jack because it wasn't about having the room on the plank, but it was about "bouyancy". Whatever. I'm still not convinced, but I may be soon. The folks at the show MythBusters ar going to try to prove it once and for all in an upcoming episode, with James Cameron's help. I can't wait. No date has been set for the airing of the show yet.
