National Adopt A Shelter Dog Month

The Monmouth County SPCA has a great offer in honor of National Adopt A Shelter Dog Month. They are offering a special HALF PRICE adoption rate on dogs one year or older from this Saturday, October 25th through the end of October! Your new dog will be spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

The MCSPCA has nearly a hundred loving dogs looking for homes, from puppies to adult dogs, from active to mellow, and they are hoping that each and every one will find a home in time for the holidays.

Our Point Pet of the Week, Nyla, is the Belle of the Ball at the MCSPCA. She loves playing with the boys in Sweetie Park. They all chase her trying to get her attention.

This week, she has chosen Big Louie and Goofy Davis as her two playmates. Nyla is an active ten-month old who would LOVE to be adopted into a home with another dog to play with.

The MCSPCA saved Nyla from an overcrowded shelter in the south...so let's make her a permanent Jersey Girl!

-- Join the MCSPCA this Saturday, Oct. 25th at the Pier Village Pooch Party. It's a fun-filled afternoon for dogs and their owners from 11 am - 2 pm in Festival Plaza. You and your dog with enjoy an afternoon of games, contests, and prizes while visiting local vendors. Each participating pet will receive a doggie bag full of fun goodies. Dress the part and see who will be crowned The Pinkest Pooch in Pier Village.

-- The MCSPCA will be judging the Ocean Grove Pet Halloween Parade. Prizes for best-dressed pets. Firemen's Park starting at Noon this Saturday, Oct. 25, followed by trick or treating downtown.

-- Come out to the Pittie Project Awareness Party at the MCSPCA on Sunday, Oct. 26th, at 260 Wall Street in Eatontown. 11 am - 5 pm. Free microchipping for Pit-mixes, vendors, food, and fun for you and your Pit Bull!

-- Trick or Trot at Seven Presidents Park in Long Branch is this Sunday, Oct. 26th. This is a 5K race AND PET WALK! For all the details, CLICK HERE!
