Restaurant review and reservation site Open Table has released its list of the 100 "neighborhood gems." I'm proud to say Monmouth County is represented!Congrats to Asbury Park's Pascal and Sabine for being selected by readers of Open Table. This was no easy feat. The eatery was analyzed using more than FIVE MILLION reviews. They were up against 19,000 restaurants across America.

Pascal and Sabine says it's:

a fresh take on the European Brasserie, where good, simple food, strong drink, and those passing through come together to create a rich, sensory experience of precocious exuberance. Taking cues from Albert Lamorisse's signature work, The Red Balloon, Pascal & Sabine embraces the flight of fancy and ephemeral nature of an inflated balloon, adding its own unique touch of playfulness within its doors.

Featuring cave-like banquettes and the highly regarded artwork of Paolo Ventura, Pascal & Sabine is a white string to hold onto, pulling you above the monotony of the world.

Open Table says when it comes to a "neighborhood gem:"

Eating local isn’t just about ingredients; it’s also about the restaurants in your community that make you feel special time and again.
