If you're used to binge-watching all of your favorite shows and movies via Netflix, get ready to shell out a little extra money to do it.

In a letter to shareholders on Monday, the company said they are planning 'a one or two dollar increase...later this quarter for new members only. Existing members would stay at current pricing (e.g. $7.99 in the U.S.) for a generous time period.'

There's no word on how long that 'generous time period' would be, but basically, if you want the $7.99 price, sign up for Netflix now, and enjoy the price while it lasts.

Even if they jack it up to $9 or $10 a month for streaming, it's still a pretty good deal. At least this time it's not like the 'shock and awe' sharp increase in 2011 that led many people --like myself -- to cancel my subscription.
