If you're like me and sick of only hearing about our state when it's the punchline of a joke, then the New Jersey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is a must see! Over the past few years I have been honored to work the red carpet at the ceremonies. I have met some of the world's most famous people, all of whom call or called the Garden State home. It's a day to be proud of New Jersey. This is a day I love. It's a day to put new Jersey on a well deserved pedestal, And it's a great event!

Former honorees include Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Queen Latifah, Frank Sinatra, Danny DeVito and Jack Nicholson just to name a few. This year, the inductees include Christopher Reeve, Michael Douglas and The E Street Band among others.

One of the things that's great about the event is that when the stars come out, they don't necessarily want to talk about themselves or their latest projects, they want to talk about how much they love New Jersey! It's so refreshing to hear those great words about where we live from some of the most beloved celebrities and dignitaries in the world!

This year's induction ceremonies take place June 9th at NJPAC in Newark. If you love New Jersey as much as I do, you should try to get out there. You'll have a great time. For more about the event or to get ticket info, go to www.njhalloffame.org.
