New Jersey Is Top 5 For Spending For Our Kid’s Education
When it comes to the amount of money spent on students' educations, New Jersey is among the highest in the country, according to recent data.
There are so many things we worry about when it comes to our kids, and when we think about their educational success and what it means for their future, we want to make sure we're doing all we can to give them the tools they need to succeed.
We all wonder how prepared our kids will be when it comes to their college years, and we all wonder if our state is preparing them well in primary and secondary school for their higher education years.
Well, according to The Stacker, if you equate how much money New Jersey spends on each student's education with their preparedness, then the Garden State kids are in pretty good shape.
The Stacker used the most current U.S. Census Data information available, which was from 2015, and ranked the states according to the amount they spent per pupil, and New Jersey is the 5th highest spender in the nation.
The amount spent includes salaries and benefits and instructional staff support among other factors. You can see the full breakdown at The Stacker. according to their study, New Jersey spends $18,235 per student.
The only states that spend more than New Jersey are (from 4 to 1) Connecticut, D.C., Alaska and New York.
