Brick Township is a very crowded place. Try navigating Route 70 oh, I don't know, ever! However, the town is making room for a pretty big addition.

Right now all you see behind the Bank of America branch and post office on Chambers Bridge Road near 70 is a huge dirt lot.

According to APP.com, soon that space will be a brand new community with townhouses, apartments and retail stores.

The Brownstones at New Visions will feature 170 two and three-bedroom luxury townhouses for roughly $240,000 to $270,000. They will range in size from 1,450 square feet to 1,850 square feet, and include driveways and one-car garages. Rows will hold five to eight units, but construction on each row will only begin once the majority of its units sell, so this portion could take as long as five years to complete.

For renters, the pet-friendly Residence Club at New Visions will provide 44 one and two-bedroom apartments on the second, third and fourth floors of a mixed-use building, which will hold retailers on the first floor. The apartments will range from 880 square feet to 1,357 square feet for as low as $1,365 per month plus utilities. They should be completed by Dec. 1.

For retailers, Shoppes at New Visions will offer 20,000 square feet of space, which may hold as many as 12 stores. The retail space should also be completed by Dec. 1.

So, Brick is about to get even more crowded. Is this a good idea? Take our poll below.
