Ladies, listen up. According to experts, there is one clothing item in particular that can be a factor in a job interview.

Corporate Fashionista has this advice for women:

The number one most important clothing item is...your blouse. The reason? Regardless of whether or not you're wearing a jacket, your blouse is what places the spotlight on your face. Your chances of being seen, heard and remembered greatly increase if you can keep the focus on what you have to say, and not your clothing.

Here are some tips for picking the right job interview blouse:

-- Color is important. There are so many better options than a standard white blouse. Choose a flattering color to instantly and unforgettably highlight your entire face.

-- Be careful with print size. If you go for a print, make sure it's a small one. A large print will overpower your facial features, causing the interviewer to lose focus on what you're saying.

-- Wear a close fit neckline. That doesn't mean you have to button up the last button or look stuffy. But a wide open neckline, or showing cleavage, draws attention away from your face and what you're saying. Your best bet is a crewneck, moderate scoopneck, or v-neck.

-- Don't wear chunky, clunky jewelry. Although a statement piece may enhance your overall look, giant jewelry pieces, or jingly things, can be a distraction. Let your top do most of the style work.
