According to a new study, many things about movies constantly change, but one thing has remained constant.

There are -- and always have been -- more guys acting in movies than women. In a survey of the top 100-grossing movies of 2009, including Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and The Twilight Saga: New Moon -- researchers found that only one-third of all the speaking characters were female and two-thirds were male.
