Ramps to Close on Route 35

Two Route 35 ramps will close for structural painting of bridges. The work is expected to continue until Oct. 26.

The ramps are in Neptune City. Crews will fully close the Route 35 southbound loop ramp for Sylvania Avenue into Avon by the Sea and the Memorial Drive southbound ramp connection to Route 35 southbound at this interchange. Both ramps are anticipated to remain closed to traffic all day until October 26.

Drivers can expect to see the following traffic changes:

• Route 35 southbound motorists destined for Avon by the Sea will continue south and use the dedicated U-turn ramp located just south of Midway Ice, before the Shark River bridge, to Route 35 northbound to the Sylvania Avenue ramp.

• Memorial Drive motorists heading for Route 35 southbound will be directed to use the ramp for Route 35 northbound to Morris Avenue to U-turn onto Route 35 southbound.
