Klinger is the Monmouth County SPCA's Point Pet of the Week. As a cat lover, here are some reasons you might want to consider in favor of adopting a grown animal.

Although kittens are perfectly precious (and puppies, too!), sometimes you can't predict what kind of personality they will grow up to have, regardless of how you raise them. You take what you get, and you love them for it. But there is something to be said for meeting an adult cat and getting to know their personality so that when you take them home you know exactly what you're getting.

Perhapes you like an affectionate pet. Or a curious, playful one. Maybe you want a lap cat. Or perhaps one that 'talks' more than others. When you adopt an adult, you can tell what you're getting and get one that you know will fit in just fine with your family's lifestyle.

Not to mention, they already have been trained to use a litter box!

The Monmouth County SPCA has many adult cats that frequently get overlooked, yet they are so loveable and just want their forever home.

Meet Klinger, who is 5 years old. He is a black and white neutered male and was transferred here from another shelter last year.

Klinger is an FIV+ kitty who is king of his castle (aka tree) and he has received a little fame, too! Klinger was featured in an educational videon on FIV+ cats!

To find out more information on Klinger and the other beautiful animals at the Monmouth County SPCA, visit them at 260 Wall Street in Eatontown or on the lower level of Freehold Raceway Mall next to Sears.
