Is a Dog Park in Red Bank a Good Idea?

It looks like a dog park is coming to Red Bank in the near future.

The location, however, is TBD. Possible spots include near Mohawk Pond, between Drs. James Parker Boulevard and Newman Springs Road, or in East Side Park, off Mechanic Avenue.

Others think a dog run which is much smaller than a park would be more suitable. A possible dog run location could be the clay tennis courts at Marine Park that were badly damaged during Sandy.

According to the Parks and Recreation Department, the project would cost residents little to no money.
