Snooki + JWoww at the Jersey Shore – Do You Want Them Back? [POLL]

Pelican Island, an Ocean county shore town that was demolished by Sandy could be the next destination for Snooki and JWoww from MTV's "Jersey Shore."It was learned that MTV has rented a house on Sunset Drive in Pelican Island with the hopes of filming the spinoff "Snooki & JWoww."

Local officials are staying very quiet on this matter. The Mayor of Berkley Township says a realtor spoke to him about filming inside the rental house, but gave no additional details.

The address of the house is 535 South Sunset Drive South in Berkley Township on Pelican Island, just off Route 37. The realtor involved in Michael Loundy of Seaside Heights Realty. Loundy has involvement with the Jersey Shore house in the Heights.

The Star Ledger called Seaside Heights Realty to speak to him about the possible project and according to the newspaper, his response was:

I’m not able to speak to anything to do with MTV or any production companies at this point.

Berkeley Township Council President James Byrnes said to the Ledger residents, like him, who are trying to rebuild from Sandy "don't have time for this kind of thing. We don't need another distraction right now "

Snooki took to Twitter to respond to Byrnes comment.

Areas like Pelican Island and Seaside Heights need all the financial help they can get this summer. Will Snooki and JWoww boost tourism and bring more money to the Jersey Shore? We'll have to wait and see.
