Hard to believe, but the iconic frozen drink known as Starbucks Frappuccino is turning 20, and they are celebrating over the next few days with a special, limited edition Birthday Cake version of the beverage!

If you're wondering how they make it taste like birthday cake, they describe it as 'vanilla bean and hazelnut, topped with raspberry-infused whipped cream.' It will be available in all U.S. Starbucks stores from March 26-30.

In the good old days when Starbucks carried almond syrup, a vanilla bean Frappuccino with a bit of almond syrup seriously tasted just like cake batter. Hazelnut is a decent substitute...and is always carried in stores, which means:

You can *kind of* get the same drink all year-round by ordering a hazelnut vanilla bean Frappuccino with a pump of raspberry!

(Spoiler alert from this former barista: Starbucks makes their whipped cream by combining vanilla syrup with cream...the raspberry version obviously just substitutes or adds raspberry syrup into the mix. It's a HUGE pain to have the two different kinds of whipped cream, so don't ask them to make you the raspberry kind after this promotion is over.)

And in case you were wondering, no, there's no actual coffee in the Birthday Cake Frappuccino, and since calories in birthday cake never count, we won't talk about that either!
