I strongly believe that our busy and complicated lives tend to put us in a bubble. The same routine every day, the same scenery everyday. One easily forgets there's "a great big world out there."
I don't think any of us could believe the end of 2012. It started with Sandy and ended with Newtown, Connecticut. A lot of tears and a lot of shattered dreams. A lot or things we wish never happened. Now a new year has begun.

Thanksgiving is days away and this year's holiday season will be very different for so many of us. Despite the immense amount of loss we've seen over the last three weeks, we still have so much to be thankful for.
With all that's gone on in the past few weeks, it seems like Thanksgiving just kind of appeared out of nowhere this year. I think this Thanksgiving will be the most meaningful one we've had in a long time here at the Jersey Shore.
We were saddened to hear the news that a too young Michael Clarke Duncan passed away at age 54. Many believed his death was linked to complications from a recent heart attack. That was not the case. And you won't believe what happening with his family following his passing, it's sad.
