As reported by 94.3 The Point, a massive 5 alarm fire ripped through the West End section of Long Branch on Monday. Residents and fire fighters say this is the worst fire the township has had since the pier fire…which occurred in 1987. Thankfully there were no casualties, but the fire took down a dance studio where the blaze started, an apartment complex that housed 12 and another building. A local and legendary restaurant has stepped up in a big way to aid the Long Branch residents that were left homeless and the businesses that were hurt.
The Asbury Park Press is reporting a 5-alarm fire has broken out at 61 Brighton Ave in the West End section of Long Branch.
