Two Virginia residents are behind bars in Monmouth County, New Jersey for their alleged roles in a brazen attempt at a home invasion and robbery in Marlboro Township earlier this year.
Senior athlete, Aaron Van Trease of St. John Vianney High School was injured — while in a separate game, Marlboro High School's quarterback suffered a knee injury. Both were just days after the death of 16-year-old football player, Xavier McClain of Linden.
Felino Badua, Jr. and wife Priscilla Badua were found dead by Marlboro police on Tuesday. Their death has been ruled a murder-suicide by Monmouth County Prosecutors.
Marlboro can painfully close to ending its state playoff drought in 2021 and this year's team has its sights set on the program's first trip to the postseason in 23 years.
The collision involved two SUVS and a motorcycle along Tennent Road on Saturday. A female passenger on the bike was airlifted for treatment of injuries, police said.
