As it was snowing yesterday, I thought, "This is nice, it's Sunday, and the kids are having fun, plus it looks a little more like the holiday season now," but that feeling didn't last long with me.

I had to drive Diane somewhere yesterday in the middle of it all, so as I was cleaning 3 inches of snow off the car and shoveling the driveway, the joy was wearing off a bit, but I was still generally ok with it. I put the Christmas tree on when I got home and tried to enjoy the atmosphere.

Then I heard the forecast for tomorrow, and for me, that was it. I had only been dealing with snow for a few hours and I was already done with it. It was going to snow AGAIN? I immediately wondered if it was going to be one of those years.

You know, one of those years where it seems everything is dominated by weather news. I think you know what I'm talking about. We've been living it since last October. now, I don't know if this week is an indication of anything at all, I'll leave that to the weather people, but I do know that I don't want to be dealing with slick roads and snow shoveling on a regular basis.

I don't know where to put the order in, but if I could, I would hope for some weekend snow so the kids could enjoy it and maybe a flurry or two around Christmas. Other that that, as far as I'm concerned, we can fast forward directly to a hot, humid Memorial Day weekend.
