If somebody asked you what you thought the most popular job in New Jersey was, what would you say?

The first thing that came to mind was for me was lawyers. Lots of people in New Jersey are suing lots of other people in New Jersey, and lots of people in New Jersey are divorcing lots of other people in New Jersey. Logical, right? But that's not it.

Then I thought about doctors. We are fortunate here in New Jersey to have some of the most sought after doctors in the world, and with our dense population and high need for medical attention, I thought that would make sense. But that's not it either.

So, what is the most popular job in the Garden State? Well, according to a survey from Business Insider, it's actually marriage and family therapists. If you're wondering how that can be, remember that the results do not reflect the most common jobs in each state, but rather the jobs that are "disproportionately concentrated in each state" according to the article.
