Our Point Pet of the Week is part Doberman and part AmStaff. And, although the volunteers and staff adore her, she has been at the shelter far too long and really needs a forever home.

How would you feel if you kept getting passed up in favor of a puppy? Or if you kept having those around you say you are the best dog ever....yet you are never quite good enough to be the one chosen when everyone else around you is finding their forever homes?

My heart really goes out to Alize (pronounced AL-ee-zay) because I know many people at the Monmouth County SPCA who just ADORE this precious three year old and are astounded that no one has chosen her to adopt. I used to have an AmStaff and it was the best dog my boys and I ever had the honor of knowing.

She deserves a comfy couch and lots of love after spending so much time in the stressful environment of a shelter, even if it is the best shelter around. Please go get Alize!!! She loves people so much and, once she gets to know you, will greet you with lots of hugs and kisses. Alize loves long walks and exploring. She also loves squeaky toys and fetching tennis balls.

But her favorite thing of all is getting belly rubs and back scratches...her tail wags nonstop! Alize is smart, too, and loves to learn new things. She's a healthy girl who has many years ahead of her to enjoy being a member of a forever family.

You can meet Alize at the Eatontown location of the MCSPCA at 260 Wall Street 7 days a week from 1 - 5 pm.

And the MCSPCA is also holding their Saturday vaccine clinic this Saturday, Oct. 24th, from 8:30 am - Noon. No appointment needed. If you can't afford the astronomical costs of a regular vet visit, the clinic is so much less expensive yet with real vets offering low prices. And they are experts because they handle more animals than your average vet. So protect your dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens with the vaccines they need!
