Two Major Chains Coming to Busy Eatontown Intersection
The intersection of Route 35 and Wychoff Road in Eatontown is nicknamed “death corner” due to its crazy amount of traffic and dangerous turns. Now, two major chains are about to open up shop and residents aren’t happy.
Eatontown’s Planning Board has approved the construction of a full service Wawa and Chick-fil-A on the corner of Route 35 and Wychoff Road.
According to Patch.com, the Wawa will be 5,051-square-feet with eight fuel dispensers. The Chick-fil-A will be 4,860-square-feet and will feature an 18-car drive thru. Previously this was the location of a mobile home park and ‘Lube It All.’
One question remains, however. Where is all of the traffic going to go?
Plans call for a left-hand exit to built either along Highway 35 or Wyckoff Road.
