Antonio Hidrogo, 39, of Lakewood faces numerous counts of child pornography after a nearly year-long investigation led to his arrest.

Al Della Fave, spokesperson for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, said it's a warning to residents: Make sure your wireless Internet is password-protected.

"To leave it open and unsecured, you're leaving yourself open to not only these kind of individuals, but folks who are trying to steal identity or other important information regarding bank accounts," Della Fave said.

Della Fave also warns that while Hidrogo was ultimately found, innocent residents could face a lot of police scrutiny.

"You see with regard to that investigation, that was over a 10- and 12-month period he was operating that way," Della Fave said.
