Fashion meets fundraising in an upcoming benefit for a local charity.

The 7th annual Runway for Recovery event will take place from 6:30 - 11 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30 at the Lounge at the Blue Bay Inn in Atlantic Highlands (51 1st Ave.)

Proceeds from this year's event will go to Mary's Place by the Sea, an amazing charity group that provides women with a place to go during and after cancer treatment.

Mary's Place by the Sea (Melanie Knobel, Knobelwoman PR)

Mary's Place is located in a 6-bedroom home in Ocean Grove. Guests stay for free, and can receive oncological massage, guided meditation, nutritional counseling, spa services, yoga, group workshops and overall support.

Runway for Recovery is a not-for-profit organization that raises money for the fight against breast cancer, cancer research and to help fund cancer health facilities.

What makes their shows so special? Every model is a breast cancer survivor.

Attendees get to bid on silent and chance auctions, with cocktails and light fare from The Copper Canyon in Atlantic Highlands.

Tickets for this year’s event are $125 and can be purchased at CocoTay Boutique in Sea Bright. They can also be purchased via check payable to 'Runway for Recovery' and mailed to CocoTay Boutique, 1080 Ocean Avenue, Sea Bright, NJ 07760. Donations can be sent to the same address.
