Do you have the patience it takes to wait in line?

Can you muster the Zen Master inside you when you get to the checkout and find the line is mega long? Or do you go so far as to put your stuff down and leave the store?

For some of us, just walking out without the stuff might be the best option, because I know some people that go insane if they have to wait on a long line.

I know people that will immediately, upon seeing a long line, belt out in their loudest voice to the general public that there should be someone put on another cash register right away...yet they won't lose their place in line long enough to go get a manager and make that suggestion.

I know others who will beg the person in front of them to let them get ahead since they only have one or two items and everyone else's carts are loaded and there's no one working the express register.

And then there are others, like me, who use the opportunity to either surf online, play a QuizUp or other game app, or grab a magazine that I would otherwise not read, and just enjoy the opportunity to stop and relax.

But the worst thing about lines is if they happen to you when you are in the biggest rush ever...and you really do have to choose to either be late for your next thing, or leaving the cart and just making a mad dash for the car. But after all the time it took to pick out what you need...is it really worth walking away empty-handed?

One thing's for sure, though. If you decide to wait in that line, do it with a positive attitude instead of stewing and stomping and huffing and puffing. No reason to let it ruin your day, right?
