Super Bowl ads are a big part of game day (and kinda the only reason I watch) and usually they are wildly funny or cute or innocent.

One 60 second spot airing this weekend is anything but funny or cute, but it's likely one you'll remember for a long time.

NoMore, a movement to end domestic violence and sexual assault, is behind the commercial. They are urging the public to 'take the pledge to say no more.'

The ad is based on what may or may not have been a real 911 call. A woman is heard calling 911 and ordering a pizza...the dispatcher soon realizes that the woman is actually in need of help but can't say what is really happening because of the (assumed) domestic abuse she is facing. It's actually brilliant, and I'm thrilled this ad will air when the most eyes are watching.

When the organization running the game (and its fans) are more concerned about deflated footballs then the players who beat their wives and girlfriends...well, maybe it's time we all focus on what's really important.
