Where in Monmouth County I Am? Here’s the Answer

Here's some info on this special train ride.

Since my boys were little we have been riding this train on the grounds of Allaire State Park. We've taken the Easter Bunny train, the Christmas Santa train, and (our favorite) the Haunted Halloween train ride.

This photo was taken from the beginning/end of the bike trail that runs from Allaire to Manasquan. Frequently the deer just hang in the middle of the grass between the train tracks and woods -- they are so used to the train that they don't even run off!

If you want info on the train, when it runs, and how to get tickets, you may not know that it is actually a separate entity from the park. The Pine Creek Railroad is part of the NJ Museum of Transportation. CLICK HERE for details
