Whether you prefer shy, feisty, or young...there is a dog or puppy for you!

Meet Satellite, Jake, and Moe. They are our Point Pets of the Week from the Monmouth County SPCA.

Satellite is a shy, sweet, almost four-month old SATO pup (a rescue from Puerto Rico). Right now he still has to grow into his big ears, big feet, and long legs!  He had a rough start in life after being abused (with rocks thrown at him...so awful.) He is currently living in a foster home so that he could learn that he can trust people and he now understands that. But a quiet home would be preferable, hopefully with another dog because he is much more comfortable with dogs around to show him the ropes. He is getting better every day with his housetraining skills, too, and taking puppy kindergarten classes to learn to 'sit' and some other commands. And now he need a permanent family.

Jake is a seven-year old who is a teenager at heart! He is a yellow Lab who moved here because, sadly, the apartment he was in was too small for him. Jake loves company and long walks. He plays well in SPCA doggie play groups. He knows 'sit', 'down', 'stay', 'come', 'paw', and 'other paw', and can catch treats in the air! Such a smart boy : ) Jake likes hugs and his middle name should be 'action'. He'll keep you motivated to get outside and move with his appetite for life!

Moe came to the SPCA from a less-than-ideal situation, along with his sisters, Erica and Layla. Moe is a one-year old Terrier mix who is an active dog and loves exercise. He is very sweet and playful with other dogs!
