102 Brick Man Asking for Birthday Cards Gets the Surprise of his Life

Last week we told you that Brick's own George Campbell was turning 102-years-old on Thursday and his birthday wish was to receive 102 cards. An activity director at Willow Springs Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center hopped on social media with George's request, and let's just say he was left speechless on his big day.

George received over 4,000 birthday cards from people all over the country and around the world.

When I first wrote about George and what Willow Springs was doing for him the feedback was incredible. There was comment after comment saying that a birthday card was going in the mail immediately. It really reminded me that most people are good and generous.

Quite honestly, I think this was the least we could do for a Navy veteran and a man who has lived over a century! I should add that George has been getting quite a bit of TV time, and he's sharp as a tack!
