4th of July Fireworks Guide
Independence Day falls on a Friday this year! That means a holiday weekend and lots of options when it comes to catching a fireworks display at the Jersey Shore. Check our 4th fireworks guide for Monmouth & Ocean counties.
MONMOUTH COUNTY
Asbury Park - July 4th POSTPONED UNTIL JULY 5 at 9 p.m.- fireworks display on the beachfront starting at dusk. Look for 94.3 The Point live at the New Jersey Natural Gas Asbury Park Boardwalk Studio at 4th Ave.
Atlantic Highlands - July 4th - fireworks display over the water at the marina at 9:45 p.m. Additional parking will be available on Friday night because of the fireworks. Check these locations for more parking: St. Agnes Church on Center Avenue, Fireman’s Field on Avenue C & West Highland Avenue and the Masonic Lodge on East Garfield Avenue.
Bradley Beach - July 5th - the annual fireworks display will be staged on the beach at Brinley Avenue at 9:00 p.m. The rain date for the fireworks is July 12.
Freehold - July 4th - Freehold Raceway on Park Ave. at dusk.
Hazlet - July 5th - Veterans Park at dusk. The rain date for the fireworks is July 6, 2014.
Keansburg - July 3rd and July 4th - at the Fishing Pier and Boardwalk Avenue at dusk.
Long Branch - July 4th - oceanfront promenade between Seven Presidents Park and the Ocean Place Resort and Spa at dusk.
Manasquan - July 3rd - Manasquan Beach - 8:30 p.m. The rain date is on July 5th.
Matawan - July 5th - Lake Lefferts lakefront on Ravine Drive at dusk.
Ocean Township - July 5th - Joe Palaia Park at Whalepond and Deal Roads in Oakhurst. The fireworks will start at dusk. (MOVED DUE TO PENDING WEATHER!)
Union Beach - July 3rd - Downtown Union Beach, Front Street and Florance Ave. at 9:15 p.m. The rain date for the fireworks is Saturday, July 5th.
West Long Branch - July 5th - Franklin Lake Park at dusk.
OCEAN COUNTY
Beachwood - July 4th - (POSTPONED TO JULY 5) Beachwood Beach. Enjoy games, prizes, contests and more with the WOBM Hometown Crew and the beautiful fireworks display on the Toms River! To make a donation to the Beachwood Fireworks on the River, please send a check payable to Beachwood Fireworks on the River c/o Beachwood Borough Hall 1600 Pinewald Road Beachwood, NJ 08722.”
Brick - July 10 - Windward Beach Park on Princeton Avenue at 9 p.m.
Jackson - July 4th - Six Flags Great Adventure at dusk with a performance by Magic! known for their hit "Rude." **Admission to the park is required**
Lakehurst - July 4 POSTPONED UNTIL SUNDAY, JULY 6- Union Avenue at dusk. Rain date is July 6th.
Lavallette - July 6th - Centennial Gazebo and Gardens at Philadelphia Avenue on the bay front at dusk.
Point Pleasant Beach - July 4th POSTPONED UNTIL SUNDAY, JULY 6- on the Jenkinson's beach and boardwalk at dusk. Look for 94.3 The Point broadcasting live on the boardwalk next to Jenk's Club from 7-10 p.m.
Seaside Heights - July 4th POSTPONED UNTIL SUNDAY, JULY 6- Bay Boulevard and Grant Avenue. The display is scheduled to begin at about 9:30 p.m. The fireworks can be seen anywhere on the boardwalk or the beach in Seaside Heights.
