According to a popular wedding planning website's 2026 report, the average wedding in America is $36,000, but here in New Jersey, you know that cost is going to be a lot more.
While the Garden State didn't actually top the list, nearby cities aren't cheap either. If you're planning a wedding in New York City, listen to this...the average cost is approaching $100,000, and in Philadelphia it's $50,000.
Talk about a crazy amount of money!

They looked at several of the biggest wedding expenses in big cities throughout the country, including venue, flowers, photography, entertainment, catering, and more, to determine the average cost.
In Newark, the only New Jersey city listed in the study, it will run you around $57,000.
