There's no place quite like Las Vegas, something you only really understand once you've been there.

A giant party in the middle of the desert, there are 5 things you absolutely MUST do when you get there...

...and we might even pay for it all!

    Watch the Bellagio Fountains

Unlike just about everything else in Vegas, this won't cost you a thing. The fountains are absolutely breathtaking, and watching them choreographed to music is completely mesmerizing -- especially at night. Depending on the day, they run every 15 or 30 minutes, and whether you watch the show in it's entirety, or just catch a few seconds while walking by...don't miss it!

Dine at the Top of the World

Vegas is home to some legendary restaurants, and is a food-lover's paradise. One of the coolest (and most unique) dinners you'll ever have though is at Top of the World at the Stratosphere at the end of the Strip. The restaurant is 800 feet above ground, surrounded by huge windows, and rotates a full 360 degrees to give you one of the most incredible views of Las Vegas you'll ever see. Don't worry, it rotates VERY slowly -- the 360 degree revolution takes 80 minutes...likely about the length of your meal! (Other can't miss eateries in LV -- an outdoor table at Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris, so you can watch the aforementioned Bellagio Fountains while you dine...and for brunch, Hash House a Go Go at The Quad -- best chicken and waffles I've ever had!)

    Get the Fremont St. Experience

There's way more to Vegas than just the Strip, and I definitely encourage a little exploration! A good way to ease into that is to hop in a cab and head downtown to the Fremont St. Experience. Even if you just walk around and watch the overhead Viva Vision Light Show -- trippiest thing I've ever seen -- or check out the Slotzilla zipline, Old Vegas is just somethin else!

    Tour the Hoover Dam/Grand Canyon

Now, you can do this on the (relatively) cheap by bus, or you can BALL OUT and do it up in a helicopter tour (which is WAY cooler) but either way, make a point to see this engineering marvel. And if you have the time, (and didn't lose the funds on blackjack) why not fit a visit to the Grand Canyon in too?

    Hang poolside

Here's the thing, Vegas pool parties are insane. Like, just ridiculous, boozy, topless, debauchery-filled madness. There are also the pools where you can just hang out and sip on a frozen cocktail and relax -- and take in the generally awesome views. Depending on which one is more your speed, it's worth making a little time for it, especially if the weather back home isn't pool-worthy.

    See a show

I'm a radio DJ. I've been to more concerts than I can count. Hands down, best concert I've ever been to was Boyz II Men in Vegas. It was just amazing from start to finish. Whether it's a concert, cabaret, Cirque du Soleil, festival, or something entirely different...there are too many cool performances to choose from to not see one! Speaking of which...
