Some things are too cool to pass up...if you haven't done this, put it on your bucket list, and make sure you do it, because it's amazing.

What is it?
Whale-watching. One of the coolest and most beautiful things I have ever seen.

While you might occasionally see a whale off in the distance on our beaches, you'll need to leave the Jersey Shore for this one.

I spent last week in Cape Cod, and my favorite part of the trip was probably the time spent on the whale watching boat. It was about 3.5 hours from start to finish, but we saw so many whales, the time seemed to fly by.

We left out of Hyannis, with the boat taking about an hour to get out to the whale sanctuary. There's a naturalist on board to tell you what you're looking at and where to look...but it's really amazing. (Bonus: a bar on board! Bloody Mary's and whales? Yes, please.)

The whales get SO close to the boat! It was hard to get a lot of pictures because it happens kind of fast, and most times I was looking at the whales, not the camera.

I managed to get a few cool shots, but I'm telling you, they do the experience no justice.
