Armed robbery occurs early Saturday at Brick 7-11

Brick Township Police are investigating an armed robbery at the 7-11 located at 856 Route 70 early Saturday morning. 

The suspect is described as either light skinned black or Hispanic, approximately 5'9 to 5'10 and about 180 pounds. He has a full dark beard and mustache and was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, black wool cap, white t-shirt, white sneakers and a gold chain.

A weapon was not visible however he indicated that he was armed with a gun.

The robbery occurred just after 4:30 Saturday morning. the man took a Snapple drink and approached the counter. His right arm stayed concealed in the jacket and he told the clerk he had a gun.

The suspect demanded money and grabbed an undisclosed amount from the clerk.

He is believed to have left the area on foot, and police believe he left in a waiting vehicle.

The clerk was not injured.
