An Asbury Park couple who were caught shoplifting from the Target in the Seaview Square Mall in Ocean Township then eluded police, have been arrested.

Ocean Township Police said they responded to Target on Monday night after the pair hid what they stole and left the store.

They hopped in a vehicle and were then pulled over in the parking lot by an Ocean Township Police Officer.

As he was approaching the vehicle on foot though, police said the vehicle took off.

Following an on-scene investigation by the officer and detectives, Shannon V. Soto, 28, and Christopher J. Mobley, 27, were identified as the suspects who allegedly stole more than $600.00 of items from Target.
