The plastic bag ban continues to spread!

The newest Jersey Shore town to no longer allow single-use plastic bags is....

ASBURY PARK!

This new ordinance also states that the town will charge a fee for both paper and reusable bags.

Businesses do have time to adjust because these new rules do not go into affect until January 1st, 2020.  And it is a good thing because Asbury is humongous and has a lot of businesses jam packed in there.

Having Asbury Park jump on the plastic bag bandwagon is HUGE for the 'Go Green' initiative.

Asbury Park is one of the most well-known Jersey Shore towns and to see such a staple of Monmouth County set such a great example for the rest of the Garden State is truly satisfying to announce.

Now go get those reusable bags.
